- PPPConfig
This package will handle calling and setting up
a PPP connection and then calling pppd. Requires
the ppp daemon to work properly.
- pppbutton
pppbutton is a tcl/TK-script which creates a button,
from which you can start and shut down a ppp-connection.
It has redial function, and monitors the activities on the
interface and shows status by coloring the putton.
- Motif-PPP
Motif-PPP is an X-based dial-up ppp connection setup
utility program that is capable of automatically
configuring and triggering for the ppp daemon to be
executed. Inspite of configuring ppp connection
manually, which causes some people a trouble, this
utility allows users to avoid such troublesome and to
configure the settings automatically.
- asppp
Asppp displays the status of your ppp session by checking first for
/var/run/ppp0.pid (since only ppp0 can have the default route).
Failing that, /proc/net/route is checked for a ppp entry every 10
(by default) seconds, Based on the return status of the above checks,
you have the option to either dial/hangup (thru user defined commands
in ~/.asppprc), display/undisplay the current status of your ppp
session (displayed by default on startup)
Assuming you have a 3 button mouse:
left click: executes the current icons "function" (dial/hup, status, exit)
right click: cycle thru available options
middle click: nothing yet (maybe invoke setup)
