[linux-users:89092] TurboLinuxでのプリンタ設定

こんにちは。ともたろうです。

TurboLinux 6.0 Workstationにてプリンタを使用しようと、いろいろ設定を
行っていますがプリンタがまったく動作しません。

原因をいろいろと調べているのですが、その中でも以下の現象が怪しいと睨ん
でいます。ですが、どうしたら良いのか見当がつきません。解決策をご存知の
方はぜひ教えていただきたいのですが。

その現象とは、
turboprintcfgにてプリンタの設定をする際に、「プリンタデバイス」項の
「変更」ボタンを押すと以下の警告メッセージが毎回表示されます。

Your /etc/conf.modules does not have a line in it which will enable 
the parallel printer ports on your computer. This line has been added, 
but you will have to exit turboprintcfg and restart kerneld (or reboot 
the machine) before the list of probed ports will be correct.

ここで/etc/conf.modulesを確認したのですが、

alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc

という行はありました。

そして上記メッセージ表示を閉じた後で再度/etc/conf.modulesを確認すると

alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc

と、「alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc」が追記されています。

以降、この操作を繰り返すたびに一行ずつ追加されていきます。


ちなみに、プリンタは HP Deskjet 710Cです。
