Hi!
Libinklevel [1] is a linux library for retrieving the ink level of epson
and hp printers. Various frontends (command line, KDE, Gnome) are
available.
I have put the first test version of libinklevel 0.6.4 online. The
only change to version 0.6.3 is in the code for epson printers. I hope
that now more epson printers are supported. To verify this assumption I
need your help. Please do the following:
- download, compile and install "libinklevel-0.6.4rc1.tar.gz" [2] and
the "ink" frontend [3]
- run "ink" against all your epson printers available
- report success or failure to me by email
If this new version works with your printer, an email with the name
of the printer is sufficent. Please also send me an email if your
printer is on the "supported" list already.
If the new version does not work with your printer please send me the
complete debug output of the "ink" program. If possible please also try
with the last stable version of libinklevel (0.6.3) and with a recent
version of escputil from the gimp-print-project [4].
