NO STARCH PRESS TO SPONSOR CODECON 2004:
One of the Few True Hacker Conferences

San Francisco, CA - For the second year in a row, No Starch Press will
sponsor CodeCon (www.codecon.org). Internationally recognized as the
premier showcase of innovative software development projects, CodeCon
attracts many of the Internet's most prominent developers. The 2004
conference takes place February 20 through 22 in San Francisco, California.

Founded in February 2002, following the infamous "dotcom crash," by
technologists Bram Cohen (creator of Bittorrent) and Len Sassaman (Internet
privacy and anonymity expert), CodeCon has redefined standards for quality
technical conferences.

"It is a pleasure to once again have No Starch Press sponsor CodeCon," says
conference producer Len Sassaman. "Our attendees find great value in the
timely and high-quality books published by No Starch."

"CodeCon may well be my favorite conference. It's all content and no fluff.
You really get the sense that you're in the thick of things, and the list
of presenters is very cool. I hear they might even serve coffee this year,"
said fabulously uncool No Starch Press Publisher Bill Pollock.

CodeCon's program offers a prescient look at the direction of technology in
the digital era. CodeCon is the premier showcase of active hacker projects,
and a workshop for developers of real-world applications with working code
and active development projects. All presentations are given by one of the
active developers, and accompanied by a functional demo.

Pre-registration for CodeCon is recommended, and is $95 online or at the door.
