DinoStor and Reliaty Team Up to Deliver Network Data Protection Solutions

Reliaty Backup and DinoStor TapeServer combine for easy, cost-effective network backup operations

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. January 14, 2003 /STRONG> DinoStor a pioneer in network enabled backup solutions, and Reliaty, a prominent developer of advanced data protection solutions, today announced mutual certification for Reliaty Backup and for DinoStor TapeServer.

With DinoStor TapeServer and Reliaty Backup, enterprises can create an easy-to-deploy and manage storage solution that is less expensive to operate than traditional storage methods. Customers can use TapeServer to attach tape backup devices to gigabit Ethernet and back up to them via Reliaty Backup. The combination of Reliaty Backup and DinoStor TapeServer enables users to take advantage of distance and speed enhancements by attaching tape storage devices on a network instead of directly to a dedicated server. This storage management solution is easy to deploy and manage, and less expensive to operate.

Reliaty Backup is the first data protection solution that allows backup and recovery of data from any point within a storage environment to any device, regardless of the server and storage platforms or location of the connections. It is the only data protection solution to offer this seamless methodology for multiplatform environments, creating a new level of cost savings, ease-of-use, and faster data recovery.

DinoStor TapeServer is the first product in the market that allows users to share backup devices among servers on the Ethernet easily and inexpensively, with SAN-like performance without a SAN.
