I am pleased to announce the release 0.6.3 of KIllustrator.
KIllustrator is a freely available vector-based drawing application
for the famous K Desktop Environment similiar to Corel Draw(tm) or
Adobe Illustrator(tm).
The features:
- - different object types: polylines, circles, arcs and pies, ellipses,
squares, rectangles, (symmetric) polygons, freehand lines, bezier
curves and multiline text
- - tools for moving, scaling, rotating, shearing as well as grouping,
ungrouping, aligning, distributing and reordering objects
- - zooming up to 1000%, snapping to grid, help lines
- - printing to PostScript (file or printer)
- - import of WMF cliparts, XFig documents, raster images
as well as Postscript (via pstoedit)
- - export to raster image formats (GIF, PNG, XPM) and EPS
- - graphical layers
- - various line styles, arrows and fill styles (pattern, gradient)
- - aligning of text to path
- - line editing: inserting and removing points, splitting of lines
- - undo/redo facility
The installation requires a working KDE 1.1, QT 1.42 as well as
gcc-2.8.x or egc-1.x. KIllustrator is tested on Linux, FreeBSD and
Solaris.
