The purpose of sendsms program is to send SMS text messages to cellular
phones. The program may be used in two different modes. As a interactive
SMS send program, or as a mail delivery agent.
In the interactive mode, sendsms sends the message from the standard
input to the GSM network associated with a cellular phone number. The
GSM network sends the message to the cellular phone.
In the mail delivery agent mode, sendsms is called from sendmail (or
qmail). In this mode, you have to configure sendmail to use sendsms as
the delivery agent for all mails with a special domain address. You can
now use your normal mail program to create SMS messages.
