Linux Journalists International is a meeting point for journalists who use
Linux as a tool to do their jobs or simply write about Linux and Linux
related software.
WHY, HOW, WHERE?
Why - the answer is simple. The mainstream media is not giving enough
attention and coverage to Linux. There are several
reasons for such (sad) state of affairs: Linux is free, so virtually no
one advertizes; it's free, so most people think it has no
value; it is Unix-like, so mainstream media sees Linux as just another
boring old Unix that will soon be overrun by "powerful
MS operating systems".
What can we do?
We can provide a list of journalists and media that "support" Linux, and
can produce articles or other publications freely
available on this site. We can also include anything you think would be
worthy in making mainstream media give more
attention on Linux.
