Version 0.4 of the 'rinetd' TCP connection redirection server is
now available. rinetd redirects incoming connections on one set
of IP addresses and port numbers to a second set of addresses
and port numbers, which need not be on the same machine. In
other words, it is very useful if you want to run services
inside a "private" Intranet and make them visible to the outside
world. This allows web servers to be run on the inside of an
IP masquerading firewall, for instance.
Version 0.4 can be reinitialized with a kill -1 signal
*without* breaking existing forwarded connections. It is
stable enough that we rely on it here for telnet, http and
other services.
