March 4, 1998, Linus Torvalds will speak at the Silicon Valley Linux
Users Group (SVLUG) meeting. The meeting begins at 7pm.
http://www.svlug.org

This meeting will be held at our new location, the GateWay Conference
Center, Building J, ciscoSystems. The address for this conference
center is

255 W. Tasman Drive
San Jose, CA 95134

Please enter through the front entrance of the building, and the
conference center will be to your left. There will be signs.

Rick Moen will be there, will you?

Directions and map to the meeting place are as below.

 - From Fremont, Milpitas, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville,
Davis, Sacramento, Reno or Douglas, Wyoming.

Get on 237 west. You can get onto 237 west from either 680 or
880, I don't care which. Travel west until you get to the North
First Street exit. Exit at first street, and turn left (south)
onto First Street. Travel South on First Street to Tasman. Turn
right (west) onto Tasman. There will be a light at Rio Robles.
Continue straight thgough that light (west). There will be a
ciscoSystems building on your right (north). This is building L.
There will be a light at the corner of Tasman and Champion.
Continue straight (west) through this light. The next building
to your right (north) will be K. K sits right close to the
street. Turn right (north, into the big parking lot) just past
building K. There should be a lot of parking there. This
parking lot sits right in front of building J.

 - From Mountainview, Palo Alto, Redwood City, San Francisco or
     Marin.

Get on 101 south. Take 101 south until you hit the 237 / Alviso
exit. Exit onto 237, and you should be traveling east. Travel
east until you get to the First Street Exit. Exit at first
street, and turn left (south) onto First Street. Get on 237
west. You can get onto 237 west from either 680 or 880, I don't
care which. Travel west until you get to the North First Street
exit. Exit at first street, and turn left (south) onto First
Street. Travel South on First Street to Tasman. Turn right
(west) onto Tasman.

 - From Sunnyvale, Santa Clara, and other parts somewhat south and
     west of ciscoSystems.

The corner of Tasman and Lawrence is your friend. Start there.
Take Tasman east, across great america, and continue. You will
cross Lick Mill Road. After crossing Lick Mill Road, you will
cross Vista Montana. Continue east until you get to the light at
Champion and Tasman. Flip a U-Turn and travel west on Tasman
(tricky, isn't it?), turn right (north, into the big parking lot)
just past building K. There should be a lot of parking there.
This parking lot sits right in front of building J.

 - From South First Street, San Jose, and other parts somewhat south
     and east of ciscoSystems.

If you can, get up to 237, and follow the directions as if you
were coming from Wyoming. If you cannot, get up to North First
Street and Tasman, and follow the directions as if you were
coming from Wyoming. (can you tell I don't go this way much?)
