ras version 1.00 - redundant archive system
Ras is a program that adds m extra files to a set of n files, such that the
contents of the n original files can be regenerated from any n of the n+m
original files and extra files. n+m may not be more than 256. Normally,
these extra files will all be 6 bytes larger then the largest of the
original files, but ras has a mode in which the extra files are exactly
the same size as the original files.
Main differences from version 0.90:
Efficiency improved, runs almost twice as fast.
0.4% sumfile size overhead eliminated.
Different sumfile format, not compatible with 0.90 sumfiles.
See http://dspace.dial.pipex.com/nc/ for more details.
