Announcing the second release of MultiTrack for Linux!
This is the second release of MultiTrack, a harddisk recorder for Linux. The
program can record and playback up to sixteen tracks. Since all recorded
tracks will be directly stored on the harddisk there's no limit to the
length of each track (only the amount of free harddisk space is important).
It is possible to record and playback at the same time if you have two
wavedevices (i.e. two audiocards). The program has a user friendly
interface for manipulation and playback of the recorded tracks.
Changes since 1.0b:
- - Completely new graphical interface
- - Svgalib and X interface
- - Handling up to 16 tracks
- - CD-player interface
- - Volume and pan sliders interface
- - Import and export of WAV-files
- - Add or remove tracks to/from existing song
- - Modify the track length
- - Improved performance because of a new file structure and handling
- - Automatic conversion of ''old'' 1.0 files.
- - Formattrack inside MultiTrack
- - Generate tones
- - Change settings in MultiTrack
- - Change color settings (only for svgalib version)
- - Two effect modules: delay (echo) and equalizing
- - Help browser
- - If you have two soundcards you can:
* record and playback at the same time
* record up to four tracks at a time
* use the second soundcards as an external effect send
during playback.

functions (amplify, maximize, fadein, fadeout, silence) and
two effect modules (delay, equalizer) are included. It uses
